During the search for safe materials for our new Lilly Collection, we came across silicone beads. Just like our other materials that BEZISA uses, silicone is a natural material.
The beads are made of 100% silicone. Silicones are mainly made of the basic element silicon (pebble) and oxygen. Better known as quartz and in small form, the main component of sand. 12% of what can be found on and in the earth's crust consists of quartz. This is the most abundant mineral on earth. When carbon and hydrogen are added to quartz, silicone is produced by linking long chains of silica molecules. A rubbery, unbreakable material, which has many advantages, and has a very long service life.
